4th of July

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I think it is the American in me.  I don’t have any annual family vacation plans that make it uber special, or particularly enjoy BBQ’s, or parades, but I am particular towards Fireworks.

There are many awesome pictures floating around today.  Lots of Red, White & Blue.  Lots of Flags and Eagles.

girls american flagI picked this one, because it is us!  It is a group of girls that are smiling and loving life!  Was this you?  Is this your mom?  There is so much energy in this photo.  They were having a great day at the beach!

I consider myself a true American.  I appreciate the opportunity to be free and I use that opportunity everyday to create a new adventure.  I appreciate the opportunity to be able to make a living doing what I love, and thank you for joining me!

As for Fireworks, they amaze me.  I love the sound and the different designs that they make.  I stare into the sky and appreciate those that know how to put these shows together.  I like my fireworks far away so I can ohhh and ahhh, and enjoy the bigness.  Not the “in camp” productions that make me fear that the forest or my trailer is going to burn down 🙂

Some of my favorite 4th of July fireworks were not the show itself, but the location.  A few years ago I was able to enjoy them in a small town outside of Colorado Springs with my good friend JT Taylor and his daughter.  I was in town for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.  One of my other favorite locations is on Skyline Blvd in the Bay Area, CA where on a clear night I can see the whole Bay and the shows that are happening for miles around.

I have been working on some new designs for I’m Not Just a Girl…one of them is a patriotic american flag design.  I think I am almost there…  What do you think? Is that a good idea?

I encourage everyone to join us on our social media sites! ~Charlene
